Starting forward is the first of two guest staterooms featuring a V-berth style
bunk with infill to make a double berth with locker below, a large hanging locker
and private access to the forward head and shower. This berth (with lee cloth under)
accommodates two adults up to 6’ 3” tall. A door provides complete privacy. Excellent
accommodations for a couple or several small children.
Next aft to port is the second guest stateroom with over/under Pullman type berths
and door for privacy and storage drawer. The upper and lower single berths accommodate
6’ 2” adults. This stateroom is excellent for either two adults or 2 teenage children.
Each berth is equipped with lee cloths.
Opposite to starboard is the guest head with separate shower area, large vanity,
mirrored medicine cabinet, linen closet, ample shelving, and three storage lockers.
Equipped with pressurized hot/cold water for sink and shower, shower sump pump for
shower well.
In the spacious main salon, there is a generous L-shaped settee to port with a large
pedestal mount table and straight pull-out settee on the starboard side. The table
folds out in three sections to allow seating for 6-8 adults or folds for 2-3 adults.
Above both settees are cabinets and shelving. To starboard, there are full length
shelves with louvered doors above and lockers behind the opening seat backs. To
port, louvered cabinets separately house the TV, and bar. Bookshelves and display/storage
space are centered above the settee. Behind settee backrests there is additional,
ample storage. The starboard bench seat slides out to provide a large berth to accommodate
a 6’ 3” large adult and makes an excellent sea berth (with lee cloth) for passages.
Aft of the settee on the starboard side is the forward facing navigation station
with flip up style chart table that accommodates full size charts, stowage cubicles,
navigation electronics and electrical distribution panels.
Next aft on the starboard side is a walk thru type head with separate shower, generous
vanity, ample stowage, and private entry from the aft master cabin. Equipped with
pressurized hot/cold water for sink and shower, shower sump pump for shower well.
On the port side and aft of the dining area is the galley which runs the length
of the walkthrough to the master cabin. The outboard side of the galley has a long
countertop with the propane stove set into it, and a cover when not in use. Aft
of the cooking area is the two-section, refrigeration and freezer unit with both
front and top access. The inboard side of the galley has a shorter countertop with
double stainless steel sink and drain board. Underneath there is convenient 3-sided
access to the engine compartment.
The large master stateroom encompasses the entire stern and features a centerline
queen-sized berth (6’ 2”, with two lee cloths), built-in vanity, settee, closet
and drawers. As in the rest of Comfortably Numb, there is a generous amount of storage
space. Doors to the galley and head assure complete privacy.
The fore and aft galley is a cook’s delight with ample Corian countertops with built-in
fiddles, double stainless steel sink, generous counter and locker space, large pot
locker, and built-in dish storage. There is a recently installed stainless steel
Seaward Princess 3-burner propane stove with oven and broiler. Safety being a priority,
the propane system is controlled by a Marinetics propane solenoid system with two
20 lb propane tanks in a separate propane locker with overboard drain. The two tanks
assure enough gas for extended cruising. They also supply an aft rail mounted Weber
propane barbecue grill for outdoor cookouts.
There’s ample cold storage in the separate refrigerator and freezer compartments
(yes, you can have ice for those frozen drinks!) Each are cooled by individual Adler-Barbour
DC powered water/air-cooled units making it unnecessary to run the engine to keep
your food and drinks cold. Plates, glasses cutlery, pots, pans, and utensils are
supplied to satisfy the needs of a full time live aboard.
A pressurized system provides cold and hot water in all the heads and the galley.
The 11 gal (small apartment size) water heater is heated by either dockside power
or heat exchanger from the engine.
Deep double SS sinks are mounted centerline. They have manual freshwater and saltwater
foot pumps in addition to the pressurized hot and cold water faucet. The large SS
drying dish and pan drying area drains to the sinks.
